At a helicopter level, the digital empowerment of citizens and community groups is slowly but steadily exposing and demanding fixes for what might best be described as “bad government”.

Be it a fully functioning integrity commission, pork barrelling or jobs for the boys, the public is showing that it will no longer tolerate practices and processes that are either corrupt or are patently working against the public interest.
