Ex-High Court chief justice backs ‘sensible’ Voice

Former High Court chief justice Robert French has backed the draft changes to the Constitution that would establish the Indigenous Voice to parliament, calling it a “sensible and straightforward proposal”.
In written comments to The Australian Financial Review, Mr French welcomed “the opportunity” the Voice created for better policy development, without usurping the authority of parliament.
