Hanson racially vilified senator in ‘angry personal attack’: judge
NSW Greens senator Mehreen Faruqi says a court’s finding that Pauline Hanson racially vilified her by posting a tweet telling her to “piss off back to Pakistan” means the One Nation leader has been held to account for hate speech.
Federal Court judge Angus Stewart ruled on Friday that Senator Hanson’s post on X, formerly known as Twitter, was an “angry personal attack” that conveyed a “strong form of racism” and was a variant of the xenophobic slogan “go back to where you came from”.
