Greens booted from parliament, accuse Labor of ‘arming Israel’

Four Victorian Greens MPs were booted from state parliament after demanding the Labor government sever ties with Israel’s defence ministry and accusing it of putting the state at risk of “being complicit in genocide”.

Victoria signed a memorandum of understanding with Israel in December 2022 to support the manufacture of military equipment. The agreement is listed on the federal government’s foreign arrangements scheme register, but no details are available.
