Great Western disappointment: The towns dudded in infrastructure deal

Ron Finemore isn’t happy. The trucking boss whose eponymous transport company supplies every Woolworths in NSW’s Central West is urging the federal government to rethink its latest infrastructure funding decision.

NSW policymakers – and a community of more than 300,000 spanning from the Blue Mountains to the Central West and beyond – have been floored by a decision to swing the axe on plans to put a $2 billion segment of the Great Western Highway underground.
