Overseas travel for stir-crazy Australians will be back on the itinerary from mid-2022 with the budget predicting every Australian will be eligible to get a coronavirus vaccine by the end of the year.

But the reopening of borders would depend on how COVID-19 outbreaks were contained in Australia and abroad, the budget papers said.
