Rancour over Israel reaches new low

Amid angry scenes, the Coalition and Labor have failed to agree on a resolution to mark the first anniversary of the October 7 terrorist attacks against Israel.

Jewish groups have slammed the Albanese government after domestic political rancour over the Middle East crisis reached new lows with the Coalition and Labor unable to agree on the wording of a resolution to mark the first anniversary of the October 7 terrorist attacks against Israel.

Unlike a year ago, when the government and the opposition passed a joint resolution through both houses condemning the massacre of 1200 Israelis, Peter Dutton and Anthony Albanese are at loggerheads.
