Victoria’s budget bottom line makes for grim reading: a record $23.3 billion deficit and around 270,000 jobs lost to the coronavirus pandemic.
The Andrews government expects the state's longer public health restrictions will mean weaker economic growth compared to Australia overall for this financial year, but says this should reverse the following year.
