Groceries, housing and energy bills are the biggest drivers of cost-of-living concerns for Australians, far and away the top issue occupying the minds of voters.

The latest The Australian Financial Review/Freshwater Strategy poll has 72 per cent of respondents saying “the cost and standard of living” is the most important issue for the federal government to focus on this year, up three percentage points since February.
