Anthony Albanese has rubbished calls to break up the supermarket giants in response to concerns about their price-setting and competition, amid a heated political debate about how to address cost-of-living pressures on households.
“We have a private sector economy in Australia, and not a command and control economy. We’re not the old Soviet Union,” the prime minister told ABC radio on Thursday.
