With no substantial opinion polling out of Lingiari, it is anybody’s guess who will replace Labor’s Warren Snowdon, who is retiring.
From the desert metropolis of Mparntwe (Alice Springs) in the south to the tropical Galiwin’ku (Elcho Island) in the north, voters in the Northern Territory seat of Lingiari have a common complaint: Canberra forgets them.
And with the lowest voter enrolment and educational attainment and highest incarceration rates in the country, you can see why.
