Wallabies great David Pocock wins ACT Senate seat

David Pocock has emerged as a critical crossbench player in Labor’s upper house negotiations, after the former Wallabies captain defeated Liberal Zed Seselja to take the second ACT Senate seat.
The independent, who received funding from the Climate 200 campaign and local Canberrans, was confirmed as the winner on Tuesday morning after the Australian Electoral Commission finalised preference counts.
