The perception of rising youth crime and gang violence in cities has pushed law and order issues up the list of voters’ concerns, the latest The Australian Financial Review/Freshwater Strategy poll shows.
It finds an 8-percentage point increase in the proportion of voters selecting crime and social order as a top concern since December.
