Voters back Liberal gender quotas, but it’s not a vote swinger

Almost half of voters support the Liberal Party adopting quotas to get more women into parliament, bolstering support for the idea within the party as members debate how to improve the gender imbalance.

When parliament returns later this month, just six of the 43 Liberal MPs sitting in the House of Representatives will be women, while only about a third of Liberal MPs across the country are women.
