Returning education minister Jason Clare has dismissed criticism of the Albanese government’s crackdown in the foreign student market, saying Australian universities have become too caught up with the revenue they bring while taking their eyes off the main game: domestic students.
“I make no apologies for the fact that I think the top priority of our universities needs to be focused on the education of Australians,” Clare told The Australian Financial Review.
