A factional deal enabling NSW senator and former premier Kristina Keneally to move to the lower house at the next election is causing some consternation in Labor, with some MPs believing a local candidate should be given a run.
Senator Keneally, who lives on Scotland Island in Pittwater, will be parachuted into the safe western Sydney seat of Fowler after being unable to secure the numbers to take the number-one spot on Labor’s NSW Senate ticket.
