Former minister for Indigenous Australians, Ken Wyatt, has quit the Liberal Party after Opposition Leader Peter Dutton’s decision to actively oppose a Voice to parliament.

It came as Indigenous community leaders accused Mr Dutton of seeking to deprive Aboriginal people of recognition and take the nation backwards.
