Three ideas to sharpen up the Business Council of Australia’s act
Business lobby groups need to change the way they do things if they want different results. Curiously, given business bangs on about innovation all the time, the BCA has failed to get the memo.

Revelations about alleged dodgy price discounts by Coles and Woolworths saw to that. Cue eye rolls in Canberra about lectures from big business and being “savaged by a dead sheep”.
Still, it’s worth lingering on one issue The Australian Financial Review has spotlighted, namely the inability of corporate Australia’s peak body to exercise power in the cause of good economic policy.
