The Voice case has answered the arguments for voting ‘No’

The Voice amendment provides a foundation for a living and evolving practice of shared authority. If only we can be patient.

As the debate over the Voice constitutional referendum heats up, arguments for a No vote might seem initially persuasive. But the Voice has anticipated – and can provide an answer – to each.

One camp argues that the Voice is not going to deliver practical outcomes for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people for the real and pressing issues they are dealing with on the ground. Nationals senator Jacinta Nampijinpa Price has pressed this argument.
