Greens seize the Senate balance of power

Anthony Albanese will be able to rely on a “progressive majority” of Greens and independents in the Senate to deliver Labor’s agenda, but they will demand greater action on climate change in return.
The Coalition could lose as many as five Senate seats, including junior ministers and hardline conservatives Zed Seselja and Amanda Stoker, while Labor’s representation is unchanged at 26 but could go higher.
