The Queensland and federal governments are at loggerheads over a 1000-bed quarantine facility proposed for Toowoomba, with Premier Annastacia Palaszczuk accusing Prime Minister Scott Morrison of making excuses for dragging his feet on approving the project.

Proposed by the billionaire Wagner family adjacent to its Wellcamp airport west of Brisbane, the private quarantine facility has become a flash point between the Queensland and federal governments in recent weeks.
