Senate blocks CFMEU bill, minister warns assets being shifted

Workplace Relations Minister Murray Watt has expressed fears the CFMEU has begun shifting assets, and business groups are angry, as the Senate refuses to pass the legislation to force the rogue union into administration.

After a day of fruitless negotiation and public slanging on Thursday, there was no progress between the government and the Coalition on three key areas of dispute and the bill remained mired in the Senate, where it was introduced on Monday.
