Screen scraping, profiling of children and using audio devices to unwittingly track people are among many digital practices proposed to be prohibited as part of a push by the Privacy Commissioner to require all businesses to behave fairly and reasonably in regard to privacy.
In a 150-page submission to a review of the outdated Privacy Act, Privacy Commissioner Angelene Falk has thrown the weight of her office behind a major overhaul of Australia's mish-mash of privacy regulation.
