Sam Mostyn goes from boardroom to Yarralumla
Sam Mostyn has become the first significant business figure to be appointed to the role of governor-general, after a trailblazing career as a lawyer, director, AFL commissioner and equality activist.
In a departure from traditionally selecting vice regal nominees from military, judicial and political ranks, Prime Minister Anthony Albanese announced on Wednesday that Ms Mostyn, 58, would become the nation’s 28th governor-general.
