Rockliff woos Lambie, independents amid Tassie election chaos

Denied a majority at Saturday’s state election and facing potentially weeks of uncertainty, Tasmanian Premier Jeremy Rockliff has begun wooing Jacqui Lambie Network candidates in a bid to form minority government.

After calling the election more than a year ahead of schedule over concerns about instability from high-profile Liberal crossbench defections, Mr Rockliff fell short of the seats needed to govern in his own right.
