Racism behind Gladys Liu scrutiny: PM

Prime Minister Scott Morrison has accused Labor of closet racism over its pursuit of Victorian Liberal MP Gladys Liu and said there was no equivalence between her situation and that of former Labor senator Sam Dastyari who was forced from Parliament for colluding with the Chinese.
In a strident defence of the marginal seat MP, the Prime Minister said the targeting of Ms Liu was an insult to the 1.2 million Australians of Chinese descent.
