Construction industry superannuation fund Cbus says the basis of an opposition bid to ban it from Labor’s flagship housing affordability scheme because of its links to the CFMEU is wrong.

Liberal senator Andrew Bragg introduced a bill to stop Cbus’ involvement in the Housing Australia Future Fund for as long as the CFMEU was in administration, noting that three of Cbus’ 14 directors were CFMEU appointees.
