New and existing subsidies and incentives designed to bolster domestic manufacturing will be brought under the umbrella of a “Future Made in Australia Act”, as the government seeks to boost its economic and national security credentials.

Prime Minister Anthony Albanese will warn today there is no choice but to try to mimic the clean energy and supply chain subsidies being offered by other nations, including in America’s Inflation Reduction Act, to safeguard national security and sovereignty.
