Nats’ demands could make them leave Coalition

The Nationals have threatened to walk away from the Coalition, as it demands the Liberals commit to forced divestiture of supermarkets, nuclear power and the establishment of a $20 billion regional future fund as part of a new Coalition agreement.

The issues have emerged as the key sticking points between the parties. While there were signs of an understanding on nuclear energy, the Liberals are arguing policy demands should not be part of negotiating a Coalition agreement.
