PM’s Indigenous economic plan ‘not enough’
A pivot to renewable energy and domestic manufacturing projects will not be enough to improve Indigenous disadvantage, business leader Sean Gordon has warned, urging Labor to be more ambitious on closing the gap.
Prime Minister Anthony Albanese used a visit to the weekend’s Garma Festival to pledge the first comprehensive economic policy for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Australians, including using Labor’s Future Made in Australia agenda to deliver jobs and lift living standards.
