PM’s friends and franking credits warrior promoted in reshuffle

Scott Morrison has elevated two of his closest supporters, and rewarded the MP who took the 2019 election fight to Labor over franking credits, in a ministerial reshuffle brought on by the resignation from cabinet of Christian Porter.
Junior minister and Mr Morrison’s numbers man during the 2018 leadership spill, Alex Hawke, has been promoted to cabinet.
