Noel Pearson has described candid remarks he made this week about critics of the Voice to parliament and in which conceded the referendum was headed for defeat as “emotions you have along the way”.

The leading Yes campaigner told ABC Radio Brisbane on Friday that he was aware his remarks at a private function on Monday night would be reported.
