Palaszczuk eases restrictions but maintains 'Queensland bubble'

Queensland Premier Annastacia Palaszczuk has fast-tracked the easing of social restrictions to allow up to 20 people in restaurants and bars as well as lifting all limits on intrastate travel to create a "Queensland bubble", but the state's borders will remain closed.

Despite a vocal campaign by senior business leaders and tourism operators and a High Court challenge from Clive Palmer, Ms Palaszczuk said she would not assess lifting border controls until early next month.
