‘Out of control’: Australian Jews express anger and alarm

Entrepreneur and investor Paul Bassat says the pro-Palestinian protests near the Sydney Opera House two days after the October 7, 2023 attacks on Israel should have sent a signal to Anthony Albanese that clear and decisive action was needed to tackle antisemitism.

Instead, the discovery outside Sydney of an explosives-laden caravan with a note containing addresses of potential Jewish targets shows that anti-Jewish hatred has spiralled out of control in Australia in the 15 months since the original attack, the co-founder of Seek and venture capital firm Square Peg says.
