NSW is shifting its deregulation agenda to focus on time – not red tape reduction for its own sake. It is also looking to create a single contact so businesses do not have to deal with multiple regulators.

Outlining the state government's vision for better regulation, Customer Service Minister Victor Dominello called on public agencies to rethink their deregulation model: "Don't be a caveman and measure the tape, be like Einstein and measure the time in a post-Covidian world."
