MPs should not automatically report sex assaults: Jenkins

Sex Discrimination Commissioner Kate Jenkins says parliamentarians should not automatically report allegations of sexual assault to the police, putting her at odds with Federal Police Commissioner Reece Kershaw.
Ms Jenkins, who is conducting an inquiry into parliament’s workplace culture, said she believed any such decision should be guided by victims’ wishes.
