Former prime minister Scott Morrison’s secretive appointment to multiple ministries may be a breach of public trust and considered corrupt conduct under the new federal integrity laws, according to lawyers.
King & Wood Mallesons Canberra partners Rachael Lewis and Annabel Griffin said the finding by former High Court Judge Virginia Bell that Mr Morrison’s failure to disclose the appointments was corrosive of trust could mean that he breached the public trust.
