Morrison digs in on robo-debt as resignation calls grow
Former prime minister Scott Morrison is contemplating defending himself in a speech to parliament next month, as he rejects suggestions – including by some colleagues – that he resign after the damning findings of the robo-debt royal commission.
Mr Morrison, who is overseas on a family holiday, is considering making a statement to the House of Representatives after parliament resumes on July 31, similar to one he made in November last year as he was being censured over the secret ministry scandal.
