Relations between the Morrison government and key Labor states are plumbing new depths, with the Prime Minister accusing Queensland of extortion over hospital funding while admitting he may not be allowed into Western Australia for the federal election campaign.
Amid fears in the federal government of a co-ordinated plan of blame-shifting by the Labor states in the lead-up to the election, Mr Morrison took aim at Queensland Premier Annastacia Palaszczuk for demanding more money for her state’s hospitals as a condition of opening her borders.
