Melbourne faces eased restrictions this weekend as it slowly reopens four weeks after its lockdown, despite the father of the host of Sydney’s super-spreading party bringing the virus back to Melbourne.
Victoria recorded two COVID-19 cases on Friday, both infected with the delta variant and linked to the Sydney outbreak, but the state’s Chief Health Officer Brett Sutton said there was currently no reason to pause the city’s easing of restrictions.
