Letters of 14 January: Australia can help Palau go green

Angela McDonald-Smith’s report on plans to help Palau replace diesel with renewable hydrogen from Queensland was uplifting reading (“Japan’s Sojitz joins CS Energy to supply green energy to Palau”, January 13).
How interesting to discover that the tiny Micronesian state with only 18,000 people has set a stronger emissions reduction target than Australia – 45 per cent by 2035.
