NSW housing equity scheme and stamp duty, GST on digital exports, media sensationalism and climate change, IPA, voting trends, class actions, Albanese’s travels.
The most recent housing initiative announced by NSW Premier Dominic Perrottet must surely be based on misinformation or a misunderstanding of basic economics (“Perrottet mirrors Labor’s housing scheme in budget”, June 20).
Unless there are vacant houses for sale, how does increasing demand by adding the government to the purchaser side help, other than in supporting house prices? Surely the issue is lack of supply.
