Labor to promise gig economy workers the minimum wage

Gig economy workers such as Uber Eats delivery riders will be entitled to a minimum wage and other basic terms and conditions under a policy proposal to be released soon by federal Labor.
With Labor to accelerate its policy rollout amid rising internal chatter about the party’s direction and leadership, the industrial relations policy will challenge the definition of an independent contractor.
