Ever since the Albanese government jagged an unexpected 94 seats at the election in May, various commentators and pipe smokers have lamented its supposed lack of appetite to take big risks and shake up the place.
Anthony Albanese, however, grounded by the knowledge those 94 seats are buttressed by a primary vote below 35 per cent, prefers a more cautious approach. First, deliver methodically all that was promised at the last election to engender trust, then take a risk or two at the next election.
