Labor platform to reflect support for new gas projects

Labor will amend its national policy platform next year to recognise the “critical role” of gas to the economy and to express support for new gas projects across the country.
In a deal brokered between Labor's energy and resources spokesmen Mark Butler and Ed Husic, as well as the Australian Workers' Union, the platform will be amended to make explicit the party’s support for the gas sector.
