Workplace Relations Minister Tony Burke has fobbed off business concerns about his second tranche of industrial relations reforms to boil it down to a political contest about who cares most about wages.

Amid concerns by business that the reforms will cruel productivity and business growth, Mr Burke told the Coalition it was a test “as to whether
you care about people getting more pay when we look later this year at closing the loopholes that undercut wages”.
