Strong blue-collar swings for Liberal candidate Nathan Conroy at booths such as Langwarrin in the electorate lifted spirits within the Opposition, with one MP suggesting the open hostility to former leader Scott Morrison was giving way to “begrudging respect” for Mr Dutton.
