Innovation doesn't mean pitting jobs against profits: Marles

Labor must embrace middle Australia through a productivity-boosting innovation agenda that does not "pit jobs against profits", the party's deputy leader Richard Marles says.

Writing in a new book The Write Stuff, containing 30 essays written by members of Labor's Right faction, Mr Marles said Australia needed "a new narrative of shared prosperity to grow jobs and the economy".
