Independents tell Greens to get out of the way on housing bill

Crossbench MPs have told the Greens and the Coalition to stop holding up Labor’s build-to-rent housing bill, warning that critical workers including teachers and carers are priced out of inner-city suburbs where they work.
The stoush comes as a new Senate inquiry was launched into how financial regulation can help home ownership, after a push by Coalition spokesman Andrew Bragg.
