Australian beef exports to Europe would need to triple and sheep sales rise six-fold to match the concessions the EU granted Kiwi farmers, as the Albanese government demands a more generous offer from Brussels to secure a free trade agreement.

Trade Minister Don Farrell was spoke on Tuesday evening to European Union Trade Commissioner Maros Sefcovic, directing officials work through outstanding issues and find a pathway to progress the long-awaited trade deal.
